My morning get-up routine is very important. Somehow, the daily process of washing, brushing and painting allows my brain to roam to places it doesn’t normally go. This morning I had two brilliant ideas – both for my husband. I even interrupted my routine to go tell them his “jobs” for the day.
I get very crabby if I don’t have this time.
It is relaxing, mundane, and consistent. Once I leave that room, anything can happen. And usually does. I need to be prepared; put on the armor and the warpaint, anticipate the day, get psyched and go out there.
Today has been good, thus far.
Well planned and executed. Today, I start a new coaching program. I’m looking forward to it. I’m looking forward to raising myself to the next level, setting goals for myself and achieving them. Most of all, I’m looking forward to having a better life. One where there is plenty for us all, where I am satisfied and proud of myself.
Winning my battles, I guess.
So the coaching plan is my battle training preparing me for, and sustaining me through, the fight. I’ve won those I’ve gone for in the past – sometimes they’ve taken longer and been harder than I ever imagined but I fought and won. For the past ten years, it has been on behalf of my family.
Now it’s my turn. Let the battle begin!
Have you fought any battles on your own behalf? Put yourself first for once? Or are you last in line? Let me know in the comments!
