Last week I wrote a post, 27 Ways To Live With Your Non-Paleo Spouse.
The response was immediate, 1,000’s of views.
Facebook shares currently stand at 99.
Dean over at Being Primal sparked an idea when he commented, “You could probably commit a whole website to people who have to go this alone.”
So I did.
And now we have…(drumroll, please!)
What will be the focus of PaleoNonPaleo?
Over the past 16 months I’ve noticed how paleo/primal peeps, while not hungry for food (hint, it’s the fat ;-)) are hungry for information and support like no other online community I’ve come across in my time.
I will be sharing practical ways to sustain a paleo way of eating while being constantly confronted with food that doesn’t in any way shape or form contribute to our goals.
There will be a particular emphasis on eating paleo in a non-paleo family or relationship.
I will be developing this site over the next couple of weeks and starting February 14th, will start posting there regularly.
Why February 14th?
Because it is the day of love and when we are living alongside those we love but who don’t share our views or eating ways, things can get strained.
I want this blog to be a place where we can encourage our relationships in spite of, and perhaps because of, our differences.
The goal is to strengthen our relationships while respecting our individual choices.
February 14th is also the day of chocolate and I don’t know about you but it is a dicey day for me.
80% dark chocolate doesn’t rock my boat (er, I think that should be world) and with all the other candy around, I need a bit of extra support so Valentines Day seemed a good day to start. 🙂
What will happen to The Secret Life of a Warrior Woman?
It will carry on as before.
I will continue to blog about general life themes here but take the specific paleo stuff over to PaleoNonPaleo.
What can I do now?
You can sign up here to get PaleoNonPaleo updates so that you’ll get the latest information as it happens.
You can also tweet this post far and wide and sign up for the new PaleoNonPaleo Facebook page.
It should be a fun ride! I’m looking forward to it.
Let’s get this puppy rollin’!
